PDI has been monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic (SARS-CoV-2) to provide the most current information to help manage this outbreak. On March 10, 2020, the CDC updated their recommendations, which can be found here, to refer to List N on the EPA website for EPA-registered disinfectants that have qualified under EPA’s emerging viral pathogens program for use against SARS-CoV-2.

As this is a rapidly evolving situation, PDI will continue to monitor the EPA and CDC websites and resources for updates and further guidance. In the meantime, the general public should continue to observe good personal hygiene practices, including hand hygiene using soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub, respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette, as well as surface disinfection using an EPA-registered product.
