In 1996, the National Safety Council established June as National Safety Month. National Safety Month is a month-long observance in the United States. During this month of June, individuals and companies take extra efforts in reducing injuries and death due to unintentional causes. These can happen at work, on the road, while at home, or in communities.
Now, more than ever, safety is essential both inside and outside of the workplace. Given the state of the world, this year’s National Safety Month will look a little different. As businesses are re-opening and employees are returning to the office, safety brings on a new meaning. We are now more aware of the crucial need of safety for mental health, ergonomics, cyber security, personal protection, and hygiene. Accident safety awareness is still a must.
