Founded in 2000 by Mary and David Rekstad, DMR Supplies is a medical supply company that is family owned and operated out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company began in the garage and basement of their founders Mary and David Rekstad. They juggled their growing family with their growing company as they navigated being entrepreneurs with young kids. They worked hard over their first decade plus building relationships with their customers and working hard with vendors to offer the best pricing and servicing that they could.
In 2012, their first big change occurred when they moved out of the home office into their own office/warehouse as well as into an NDC Membership. Both moves created vast improvements to their product offerings and services they could now provide to customers.
Mary and David’s not so little anymore helpers began to join the fold. Their kids DJ and Mitchell both joined the company soon after their respective college graduations (2017 and 2019). The hiring of DJ and then Mitchell brought steady growth as DMR grew their customer base to match their growing staff. The growth they achieved soon began to take them to the limit of their Brooklyn Park headquarters and into a search for a new full-time home.
In 2021…
the DMR team went all in. They closed on a lease for a brand new 6,000 sqft facility that has allowed them to continue offering the same great pricing and servicing to their growing customer base.
